Date Night: First Friday

This past Friday, the husband and I went on a little date downtown. Many of the retail shops and wineries host a First Friday Art & Retail Walk on the first Friday of every month. This was our first time going, though we had already been to the wineries we visited. First we stopped by White Stone Winery for appetizers and four very generous wine tastings. Their signature wine "Pieces of Red" is delicious. And the appetizers really hit the spot.

A few of the members of the band Hot Club of Spokane were there and they were awesome as always. Hot Club actually played at my brother's wedding a couple of years ago. Then we went over to Barrister Winery for a very reasonably priced dinner, brought to us by Beacon Hill.

We decided to skip the tasting because the pours at White Stone were pretty large. Then we picked the kids up and headed home to watch a movie. We will definetly go down for First Friday in the future.
